Do your patients need Home Health Care? Read this announcement!
We are passing on this message received from the American Nurses Association Government Affairs Team.
A little over a year ago, Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR-2) introduced H.R. 2504 - The Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act which would amend a quirk in Medicare law keeping APRNs from signing home health plans of care and from certifying Medicare patients for the home health benefit. This bill would address these problems by specifically allowing nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, certified nurse midwives and physician assistants to certify home health services. Congress must think this makes sense because we now have 142 cosponsors (92D, 50R)!

And the Senate didn't want to be left out-- Senator Collins (R-ME) introduced the Senate version of the bill, S.1332 with 23 cosponsors (20D, 2R, 1I). You can see the full list here!
